Pregnancy, postnatal and beyond

Are you ready to take action to improve your pelvic health? Regardless of whether you are struggling with incontinence, dealing with pelvic pain or looking to return to sex post-pregnancy, Kelli Prime is here to talk you through and treat your pelvic problems.

Pelvic Pain

Pelvic pain can be present for a number of reasons; including but not limited to;

  • Lifestyle and exercise

  • Pregnancy & birth

  • Underlying conditions like Endometriosis or Vaginismus

I have met many women who haven’t realised there is help available to treat or manage their pelvic pain. Together we will complete a thorough history of your problem and determine the best treatment plan for you.

Pregnancy Pelvic Health

The impending arrival of a baby can be both an exciting and daunting time. Asking yourself questions like ‘will my body ever be the same again?’ are completely normal and understandable. Throughout pregnancy it is common to experience;

  • Lower back pain

  • Pelvic girdle pain

  • Bladder leakage (incontinence)

  • Abdominal muscle separation

Physiotherapy treatment can provide you with relief from these issues and help you manage it throughout the pregnancy.

If you are someone who is keen to keep exercising throughout your pregnancy but are unsure what to do, I can also help guide you right up to your due date.

Post-Natal Pelvic Health

Mothers are notorious for putting themselves last on the priority list, so post-natal issues are often ignored ‘until life’s not so busy’. Whether you’ve just had your first baby or your first born has just moved out of home, it’s never too late to seek help and advice.

There are numerous treatments available to alleviate post-natal issues such as:

  • Incontinence

  • Pelvic organ prolapse

  • Painful Sex

  • Abdominal separation

  • Bowel dysfunction (constipation/incontinence)

At Prime Pelvic Health, we focus on working with you to find the underlying causes of your pelvic issues and creating a manageable treatment plan that integrates with your busy lifestyle.

Women’s Health

Physiotherapy offers benefits to women at all stages of their life. Are you trying to improve your strength post-pregnancy? Is sex after menopause causing you pain? Maybe there’s a niggle that is slowly making everyday tasks more challenging.

If you suffer from any of these conditions, it may be beneficial to seek support from a Physiotherapist:

  • Osteoporosis

  • Reduced strength

  • Prolapse and incontinence

  • Bladder urgency and frequent urination

At Prime Pelvic Health, we focus on identifying underlying health issues and working together to tailor a treatment plan to your needs.
